Description and features
Watermelon, or watermelon if you prefer, is the fruit of the Citrullus lanatus plant belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family. Famous for its sweet and refreshing taste, it is one of the main fruits of the summer. Coming from tropical Africa, today it is widespread all over the world.
Much appreciated for its organoleptic characteristics and beneficial properties for health, rich in water, vitamins and minerals, useful for increasing the water intake necessary during the summer season, as well as the daily micronutrient intake.
